Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep (''Ovis canadensis sierrae'') is a genetically distinct subspecies of bighorn sheep unique to the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. Sierra Nevada bighorn sheep were listed as a federally endangered subspecies in 2000.
